PEL Visflo
VisFlo is used to perform pressure drop and heat transfer calculations on Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids in pipe flow.
The program has three modes of operation:
- Isothermal Pressure Drop
VisFlo can be used to calculate pressure drop from flow rate or vice versa for isothermal flow in a pipe system. Both laminar and turbulent flow can be handled and a variety of pipe fittings are available. - Laminar Flow Heat Transfer
VisFlo can be used to calculate pressure drop and heat transfer for laminar flow in straight pipes. Either wall temperature or wall heat flux boundary conditions can be specified - Turbulent Flow Heat Transfer
VisFlo can be used to calculate pressure drop and heat transfer for turbulent flow in straight pipes
