Packing will calculate the tower diameter, packing pressure drop, load point and flood point given one as a specification.

Packing will also calculate the packing efficiency (as height of packing equivalent to a theoretical plate - HETP) for non-proprietary packings. This is mainly for distillation systems, but gives a first estimate of efficiency for absorption systems.

The program contains data for over 100 packings; most of these are non- proprietary, but the more common proprietary packings are also included. Data for other packings may also be entered.
